~Latest PTZ camera combines self-learning video analytics and infrared technology for advanced performance~

VANCOUVER, CANADA – September 12, 2017 – Avigilon Corporation (“Avigilon”) (TSX: AVO), provider of trusted security solutions, today announced it will preview the new Avigilon H4 IR PTZ (Infrared Pan-Tilt-Zoom) camera line at ASIS 2017.

The Avigilon H4 IR PTZ combines Avigilon patented self-learning video analytics with zoomable infrared (IR) technology to provide broad coverage and exceptional image quality in a range of lighting conditions and environments. Using its built-in self-learning video analytics, it can detect and alert users of a person or vehicle of interest. The H4 IR PTZ’s powerful zoom lens and IR technology then allow users to see up to 250 meters (820 feet) in complete darkness. The camera’s IR projection angle and distance automatically adjust based on camera zoom lens movement, ensuring the scene is illuminated consistently across the field of view for high-quality, detailed images.

Available in 1.3 and 2 megapixel (MP) camera resolutions, the Avigilon H4 IR PTZ features continuous 360 degree rotation, enabling operators to more easily zoom in and out to capture and monitor activity in almost any direction. It also features an optional wiper to keep the window surface clear of moisture and a rugged housing design for tough environments, making it well suited for a wide range of applications.

Additional features of the Avigilon H4 IR PTZ camera line include:

  • Up to 45x optical zoom
  • Electronic Image Stabilization support for moment free imaging
  • Electronic de-fogging image processing capabilities for clear image viewing
  • Built-in tamper detection
  • Up to 60 frames per second
  • LightCatcher technology
  • Patented High Definition Stream Management (HDSM) technology
  • HDSM SmartCodec technology
