INTERNAL SALES CONSULTANT

LOCATION: Durban

REPORTS TO: National Sales Manager

SALARY: Basic Salary + guaranteed commission for the first 2 or 3 months of employment

JOB SUMMARY: Reditron provide product and support solutions to professional installers of electronic security products.  Professional installers service high end clients with large, complex application requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric
• Proven Track record in an internal, technical sales environment

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure that your financial targets are met or exceeded
• Produce quotes & invoices for existing and new clients according to their identified needs
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure that return business is generated
• Provide feedback on daily operations (including but not limited to call sheets, major customer complaints/queries, etc.) to the Internal Sales: Team Co-ordinator

FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Sales Targets

• Agree monthly sales targets with Manager
• Ensure that the sales targets are met or exceeded
• Discuss problems with superior if targets are not going to be met
• Ability to turn leads into sales and close deals quickly
• Deal with client queries and provide feedback timeously

2. Sales
• Receive requests from existing and new clients for quotations on products
• Check availability and pricing of products
• Advise client should there be a delay or shortage of stock
• Inform the client of the expected delivery date of stock items
• Prepare quotations accurately & according to the requirements as set by the client
• Send quotation to client and check with them to establish whether they want to proceed with the purchase
• Ensure that the correct discount structures are applied – consult your manager.
• Communicate with the client regarding the collection and or delivery
• Arrange for the collection and or delivery
• Assume responsibility of the complete sales process from start to finish (this includes quotes, orders, invoices, deliveries, support & collection of funds).
• Ensure that all quotations, invoices, lead sheets & pipelines are uploaded to the company CRM/Financial operating system
• Attend all sales meetings and training sessions
• Carry out all instructions as requested by the management of Reditron.
• Request assistance from technical support / product specialists when needed.
• Grow, develop and promote the Reditron brand and Reditron as a company
• Persuade clients to purchase the in-house brand as indicated by management.
• Deal with client queries and provide feedback timeously
• Assist & co-ordinate IBT’s (Inter Branch Transfers) of stock.

3. Relationship Building

• Build and strengthen relationships with clients through:
• Making regular telephone contact
• Inform clients of new products, special pricing and launches of new and or upgraded products
• Ensure that a client’s needs are understood, interpreted and communicated accurately and that their expectations are met and managed at all times
• Identify new customers with the result of increasing the current customer base
